Evidence 1944-1994

First edition of Evidence by Richard Avedon in fine condition. No internal markings, pages clean, binding firm. There is tearing to the jacket at the edges (as seen on the pictures) and some minor toning to the spine and front, now in removable protective sleeve.

Produced to mark his exhibition at the Whitney Museum in New York, this book examines the life and work of photographer, Richard Avedon. It contains two essays: the first, by curator Jane Livingston, covers his career as a whole, and the second, by Adam Gopnik, looks at the man himself.
