In this dreamlike variation of Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth , Tiane Doan na Champassak appropriates the first great literary classic that he read as a child and replaces the emblematic illustrations of Édouard Riou with his own odyssey visual: 56 photographs of the largest river cave in the world, Xe Bang Faï, in Laos. Photographed on film, the images are treated with unusual substances that corrode and accentuate their fluid surface.
