The Story

First impression of this 2002 Amus Arts edition, (not the true 1st) in fine condition

Some very minor wear to dust jacket, now in a removable protective sleeve

Some very slight toning to extremities of pages

Pages clean, binding firm

Published by Amus Arts

About

Lime Works contains images which are moving for the ways in which they transcend the reality of their subject matter, large lime stone processing plants and quarries [scattered at thirty sites in Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa]. Renowned Japanese photographer Hatakeyama evokes the site as the landscape is torn asunder for industrial use. The result is a surprisingly eerie work, composed of rusting lots, polluted waters, and upturned stone.
