The Story
First edition first impression in VG condition. There is a 'non mint copy' Phaidon stamp on the front endpage, no internal markings, there is some minor wear to boards and spine (due to weight of book) The dust jacket has some minor scuffmarks.
With the death of the great, poetic, Italian photographer Mario Giacomelli (1925-2000), Europe lost one of its most talented image-makers. Giacomelli trained initially as a typographer and this early interest in graphic effect became a central part of his later photographic work. Winner of numerous medals and prizes, he achieved international status with exhibitions in Europe, America and Japan
