This is a collection of photographs by Grace Robertson, a photographer who contributed to the "Picture Post" throughout the war years and into the 50s. Her photographs reflected a society struggling to hold onto its past while trying to come to terms with a rapidly changing future. It covered subjects as diverse as a Battersea women's pub outing, the Bluebells Girls in Italy, the then provocative subject of a woman giving birth and the seemingly timeless life of a Welsh farming community.
