About

Ishimoto photographs silhouette of trees with no leaves and buildings by 6×6 camera with role film, and rewind the film to expose colors and forms two or three times. He enjoys overlapped colors and forms in the one frame of film produced by chance. These works appeared on the cover of every issues of “approach” since 1973, quarterly publications by the Takenaka Corporation. The work is indeed not manipulated images exposed on printing paper from several positive films, but is multiply exposed photograph of unexpected wonderful colors and forms in the one frame of positive film.
